Overview
Built for a nursery that needed a proper changing station without buying furniture the family would outgrow in two years. Three deep push-to-open drawers on soft-close slides carry the bulk of the storage, and a removable oak tray sits on top — sized to hold a changing pad with a divided nook for wipes, creams and small essentials.
Carcass and drawer fronts are white oak veneer over a stable core, chosen for tight, quiet grain and dimensional stability in a room that sees swings in temperature and humidity. Edges are solid oak, corners eased by hand. The tray lifts off cleanly once the changing years are over, leaving a full flat-top dresser.
Handle-free fronts keep the piece calm in a small room and safe for little fingers. Finished with a clear hardwax oil — warm, matte, easy to touch up if a bottle tips.
