Ash curved floating shelf
A wall-mounted shelf shaped from ash, with a continuous curved return that folds the top surface into a soft C-profile — a single sculptural piece designed to sit quietly against the wall.
Continuous curved profile
Overview
This shelf started from a simple question: could a floating shelf be a single continuous shape rather than a flat plank pinned to a bracket. The answer, in ash, is a soft C-profile where the top surface curves down and returns underneath, giving the piece both a display top and a subtle lower ledge.
The curve was formed and finished in the atelier so the grain flows uninterrupted across the bend. Edges are kept crisp and square where they meet the wall, then release into the generous radius — a contrast that makes the piece feel drawn rather than cut.
Mounted with concealed fixings, it reads as one quiet gesture: warm pale ash, a soft shadow beneath, and no visible hardware. It works as a bedside ledge, an entry shelf, or a calm horizontal in a living room where a full cabinet would be too much.
