White oak walk-in closet with integrated vanity

A full walk-in dressing room in rift-cut white oak — floor-to-ceiling hanging, drawers and cubbies along both walls, anchored by a built-in vanity nook with sconce lighting and dovetailed soft-close drawers.

Overview

A walk-through dressing room set between the bedroom and the ensuite, drawn as one continuous run of rift-cut white oak. Both walls carry full-height cabinetry — long hanging on the upper sections, folded storage and dovetailed drawers below, cubbies for shoes and bags at eye level.

At the far end, the run breaks to form a built-in vanity nook: a clean oak countertop scribed to the wall, two banks of soft-close drawers, a tall pull-out cabinet for the dryer, and a slim brass sconce dropped from the upper cabinet to wash the worktop.

Built off-site over several weeks, then installed in three days: the carcasses went in first, then the drawer slides and dovetailed boxes, then the rift-oak fronts with a continuous reveal so the whole room reads as one piece. Finished with hardwax oil, set to develop a soft patina with daily use.
