Solid oak bed frame with under-bed storage
A low, wall-to-wall oak bed frame with a built-in storage carcass beneath the slats — sized to the room, paired with matching floating nightstands and a painted headboard run.
Installed — primary bedroom, mattress on
Overview
Designed for a primary bedroom that needed a proper king bed, real storage, and a calm horizontal line running the full width of the wall. The frame is solid white oak with a plywood-and-oak storage carcass built into the base — divided into deep bays for linens and off-season clothes, hidden beneath the slats.
Oak side rails run long and low, mitred at the corners and clamped up in the atelier before delivery. Sprung-slat platforms sit inside an aluminium ledger for a quiet, flex-free bed. A pair of floating oak nightstands cantilever off the side walls at exactly mattress height, and a painted MDF headboard run ties the whole wall together.
Finished with clear hardwax oil on the oak, matte paint on the headboard panels. Delivered flat and assembled in the room — heavy pieces, planned to fit up a narrow stair.
