Solid oak floating nightstands

These floating nightstands were built as a pared-back bedside solution: one clean oak volume, lifted off the floor, with enough depth for books, chargers and the everyday things that tend to gather beside the bed.

Each piece is made in solid oak with wrapped grain across the visible faces and a single large drawer tucked beneath the top. The drawer front sits flush, keeping the silhouette calm, while a circular cable grommet in the top gives lamps and charging cables a direct route without cluttering the surface.

Seen in the workshop before installation, the pair reads almost like two small wall-hung cabinets — quiet, precise and substantial despite the minimal form. The effect is architectural rather than decorative: warm timber, crisp lines and useful storage exactly where it is needed.
