Overview
Cabinet doors look simple. They are not. A flat panel glued solid to its frame will crack the first winter Lisbon gives it. Ours floats inside a grooved frame, free to expand and contract by a few millimetres each year, invisibly.
The frame is mortise-and-tenoned at every corner. The finish — a single coat of clear hardwax oil — can be renewed at home with a rag.
